wonder what happened to "thatindiandude"

one of the more seductive and voyeuristic aspects of cc is a glimpse into the lives of the people who take the time to share their stories and stats that make this board as addictive as an 18 hour game of dungeons and dragons (only kidding...about the d&d part). oftentimes the posts begin with a "what are my chances" thread which leads to "i hope i get in" which segues into "when are the decisions coming out?" to the finality of "yes, i can't believe it" or "what do i do now?". now that all the decisions are out, thatindiandude, who was accepted as a junior to penn, caltech juliard and a few others, and was accepted as a senior to brown ed, rejected from cornell ed and uchi waitlisted is strangely quiet. are we to assume that his uchi (which was his first choice) ea waitlist was not acted upon positively in the rd rounds? i guess so. sigh, another broken bulb across the vast string of lights on broadway.

Wow - you weren't kidding when you said voyeuristic. Why don't you PM him instead of creating a thread? How did you manage to keep track of one person's decision on a board to a school you're not even going to? A little too creepy for my tastes. I'd rather stick to my 18 hour game sessions of D&D thank you very much - less creepy, more exciting, and you can see the faces of everyone you're playing with (most of the time).

a note to myself: i see someone is still trying to censor the cc board. your last name doesn't happen to be mussolini is it?

congradulations on solving bellaire high school's greatest mystery.

thatindiandude is notorious for lyng at our school. in actuality he didn't get into anything. his GPA fell by a million points last year when he tried to graduate early and slacked off junior year. i doubt that he is even in the top 10% anywayss.

How does anyone manage to apply more than one ED/EA?

Cornell ED, Brown ED, UChicago EA, and all that...

As long as they are not single choice EA's (as with Harvard's SCEA), you can apply to multiple schools EA. With SCEA and ED, you have to read the fine print on the contract very carefully to see what is allowed in that particular case.

So, don't understand one can get in Brown's ED, but rejected by Cornell's ED, and waitlisted by UChicago's EA. Unless that, besides one's junior year and senior year application, there is a sophomore year application too.

I know my tone may sound a little spicy, but, come on.

I do know this. The Brown application makes it very clear that you may not apply early to any other school, including EA, if you do ED at Brown.

Some schools do let one apply elsewhere EA, but one cannot apply elsewhere ED, it is a binding admission.

I use a similar method for admission to my night club.
