<p>I know that Duke's Class of '08 all got iPods...</p>
<p>Since Dartmouth is one of the most technologically-oriented campuses in the country, do you think we'll get iPods, too?</p>

<p>Plus, Dartmouth has a deal of some kind with Apple, so it could happen!</p>

<p>That was a big discussion last year when students found out that Duke was giving out iPods. Unless somthing drastically happens, you will have to bring your own. D said the share ware for swapping music is really great. (But hey the Mac Mini wasn't out last year either and that could be an option this year)</p>

<p>Wow! I would love to learn Turkish! I started at one point a couple of years ago, because I knew an awesome Turk.</p>
<p>iPods as a teaching tool does seem a little extravagant to me, though...reminiscent of the worst excesses of the French revolution, to tell the truth. Almost, leastways.</p>

<p>The Duke thing kind of backfired...it became very uncool to be seen listening to an ipod, because it identified you as a freshman, so no one even used them in public. I think that's dumb, but I guess Duke is more social stratus-y than here</p>
<p>haha, wow. that seems like a very reasonable answer. i heard somewhere that Duke was giving away bball tickets or something this year. My friend who's going to Wharton got a CD case and a mug I think.</p>

<p>yeah..i'm furious..i'm going to michigan in the fall, so I'll be sitting down witht he honors LSA people..this is an outrage. I do all this work to get in to LSA honors and then they short me the little trinkets. GRR!!!!</p>
