Hey.
I'm just wondering, what's the minimum standard for like, Stanford and those top schools, for the new SAT?

2250++++__+

Wow. That high? I thought it would've been like 2100 or something.

At least 750 each on math and cr, many schools won't count writing for a few years, but still 700 plus there. This is for non URMs, billionaire kids, legacies or recruitable for a sport.

I would say 2100 would be the bare minimum. But to have a solid shot, Grad'06 is right about 2250. From what I've heard, the Math+Reading (basically the Old SAT) is most important since colleges don't know what to do w/ the writing yet.

I would say a solid goal to shoot for is 1500+ M+R & 700+ Writing, plus 750+ SAT II's. Of course you can get in w/ more or less, or be rejected w/ all 800's, but that's the general mark.

Uh oh. Worried

I'd say the equivalent to a 1450 is the base for most people.

What about for Columbia? The same?

It all depends on the rest of your resume. If you have absolutely incredible ECs, impressive awards, or something else that makes you extremely unique, SATs really won't matter very much at all.

I see. Hm.
