Wondering If I Have a Chance?

<p>I'm currently a Junior, and I was wondering which schools I would have a chance at, and please feel free to suggest other schools. I would like to go into a double major for computer science and economics.</p>

<p>I don’t know if it would make much difference but AP Environmental Science and AP Psych are self studied, and my SAT score is a 2290.</p>

<p>One more thing idk if it changes much once again, throughout highschool I’ve had significant family problems causing me to be the parent in the house, and my parents the children, due to their childish behavior.</p>

<p>You have a chance at any of your schools. However, your 3.4 GPA is an outlier compared to your other stats, as well as compared to those that will receive positive admission outcomes at USC, UCLA, UCB, Cornell, Duke, U Chicago (and probably UMich). These schools I would suggest will pose a challenge for you, but not insurmountable - so write great essays (perhaps expanding on your role as parent and the effect it has had on your school work).</p>

<p>Agree with Hinsdale. Case Western (OH) and Boston University might be worth a look also. Best of luck!</p>
