I'm really interested in applying to the Harvard Graduate School of Education. I'm specifically interested in their Technology, Innovation, and Education Program, as I feel it would be the experience I need to deepen my practice.

I did my undergrad at University of Southern California, where I graduated with a BA in Broadcast and Digital Journalism, and doubled minored in Digital Studies and Interactive Media and the Culture of New Technologies. My GPA wasn't too great...3.4 overall...At the time, I was working two jobs and going to school full-time, which made it hard to focus on my studies.

I also received my teaching credential and master's degree at Loyola Marymount University. My degree is in Urban Education, with a concentration in Policy and Administration. My GPA was 3.97.

This is my third year working as a teacher at a public school. I'm fortunate that my school got a grant, and now our students have iPads. I've really enjoyed bringing what I learned at USC into my classroom, and empowering my students with technology.

I'm extremely passionate about teaching with technology, and my overall goal is to help modernize public schools so that we can prepare our students with the skills they need to navigate our digital world. In particular, I want to work on bringing technology to low-income public schools.

I haven't taken the GRE yet, but I plan to in early December. I've been studying in the meantime.

Anyone have any thoughts?
