From the 2002 test:

91–150 5 (60%)
70–90 4 (Approx 50%)
58–69 3 (Approx 35%)
45–57 2
0–44 1

I actually think that has changed, because the test now only has 100 MC

This is what the CliffsAP says:

Number of MC correct - 1/4*NumberWrong = A
Essay Score added together: B

Final Score: 0.6*A + B = Up to 100

Curve:

61-100 = 5
47-60 = 4
39-46 = 3
30-38 = 2
0-29 = 1

so you still need about a 60% to get a 5

Haha all u guys are shooting for a 5, ill be the happiest kid on earth if I get a 3!!!

Im just gonna study the labs and plants, and hopefully that will get me a 3

I just need a 4 for credit, but its good to know what you need for a 5

All the colleges I want you need a 3, but I do not remember learning anything I see people discuss on here haha.

Oh well, same thing on the APUSH test last year, which I got a 3 on

I thought it was:
(MC raw score out of 100) * (.9)
+
(FRQ essay out of 40) * (1.5)

They add up to 150 maximum, and it’s around
85-150 = 5
65-84 = 4
And so on. So it’s around that general area of 4, and it’s nice to know that they give you a lot of flexibility with the 5.

sooo is it generally accepted that high 80s low 90s would get you a 5?

does anyone have the released 2002 AP bio MC’s?

Dude MUCH lower than that will get you a 5

^ what do you mean? it’s still out of 150 isn’t it? 100 * .9 = 90…40 * 1.5 = 60…90 + 60 = 150…90 out of 150 is 60%…are you saying you need less than 60% for a 5?

does anyone know what the curve for the AP Biology test for 2013 is? Or even for 2012?

No, because no one has taken them yet, and the curve is based on how well the test takers do.

well, what was the curve like the past couple of years?
