Wondering whether or not to retake when you got a 2350 or higher? .__.

Don't you DARE post up another one of those topics asking people whether or not you should retake. To begin with, if you've gotten that far (2350/2400) you should be able to figure out on your own that, really, there is no difference between a 2350 and a 2400 (colleges see no difference). Plus or minus 50 points is NOT going to hurt you.

Also, may I just point out something? To post such a redundant question only reflects your intellectual capability and lead people to wonder if you, in truth, were able to achieve a 2350 at all when you can't solve such a simple "dilemma" on your own.

And if by now you're still whining and saying things like: "but..I missed SIXTY points. That's TEN more than the FIFTY that you said colleges don't mind.."

Well, use the SEARCH feature as I've recommended in one of my earlier posts. That's what it's there for. There are a LOT of people who have posted the exact question that you're moaning about. I'm sure you'll find something without having to bother the rest of CC's users.

By the way: If you're now telling me to shut up and that maybe and possibly people want to do it to challenge themselves..well, do it for the challenge then. I'm pretty sure you don't need us to give you any support when it comes to such personal goals. If you want to do it for yourself, good for you. That has absolutely nothing to do with us.

//Edit:Oh yes. There are, of course, some who will say: Um..Quesce, YOU'RE spamming too. A million other people have posted this.

Well, my reply to that is: Yes, they have. No, this is not spam. They've posted one or two sentences mainly to complain: some of jealousy, others of annoyance, but what I've done is to put them all together. So read it, and read ALL of it, and understand that either way it does get tiring, okay? I mean it's alright if people can't always find exactly what they're looking for and they need to post up questions that have been asked before..but other than that, please stop.

many nerds here feel like they need to

If they feel like they need to, then they've already answered their own question.

they still NEED to :P
nothing will stop them.

Yay for Quesce regardless. I clicked on this thread thinking it was yet another one of those "OH NO! ONLY A 2350! I'M DOOMED FOR LIFE!!1!1!one1!!one!!1one!1" people and I was going to have a good telling-off. Gah, Quesce, I was all happy about being able to rant but now I can't! But yours was good enough...I guess. :p

quesce, you're my hero =)

HAHA... i got 2400... do i still need to retake it ?? lol... ...

kiddin' ... going to sit on Oct ...

You bastard... ^ lol.

Hey, it's true!! I'm with you all the way on this point.

There are two very annoying things at CC (granted I'm not saying that I'm a saint at posting, but these are really getting on a lot of users' nerves [as evident by comments I've come across on these forums]):

1) Posting redundant questions..."What is the best textbook/prepbook to use for SAT/SAT II/AP subjectnamehere?", "How many questions can I get on SAT II subjectnamehere and still get insertscorehere?." Really, please stop posting these kinds of questions. A TON of these had been answered already, just use the search button. Some posters had consolidated different advices and posted up lists...please use those.

2) As mentioned above, the notorious 2350+ threads. 'Nuff said, read what Quesce wrote above.

Thanks for helping to keeping this forum clean for everyone.

I got 2260. Should I retake? =P That's 140 off!!

oasis:
I think the problem is that those lists aren't very well-publicised, and trawling through pages of search results isn't very appetising. Maybe a centralised list of lists could be composed and stickied?

Nonetheless, that's not a very good excuse for posting excessive topics. If I'm (personally speaking) able to locate 90% of all my questions with less than 3 minutes of searching, I don't see why anyone else couldn't.

I got a 2320 and will fail at college and life!!!!!!111!11111111!

But yeah, this is a good thread (and no, I didn't really get a 2320 :()

i think the main purpose of posting that kind of post is actually to ANNOUCE TO THE WORLD THAT I GOT 2350 AND I AM PROUD OF IT !! HAHA .. ALL U GUYS DIN GET IT BUT I DID !! YAHOO! YOU GUYS XXXX...

well i guess that pretty much describe what they think in their mind while pyutting up such post here...

I got 2390...retake or no? this is a serious question...

hahah jk, i'm retaking it in october or november.

If people have time to post a question: should i retake the SAT after I got 23_ _...... then they don't have 1) time to study to get 2400 2) are not smart enough to retake it 3) are not confident enough to retake the SATs without support from random people online when they should've seeked advice from their friends and family.

I agree with Quesce. If you really wanna go for the gold, then it's a great ambition. Actually I find it very amazing that people want to challenge themselves to that level. But please do not take up extra blog space. Have some confidence please.
