Woo! ANOTHER fin aid letter

See, I got one earlier…maybe a week or so ago. I called fin aid office and told 'em that I don’t want to apply for fin aid anymore so they said to write a letter of explanation to the admissions office. I did and sent it. But today, well, uh on March 30th, I checked my mail afterschool and got yet another letter about my missing fin aid form. The date on this letter is March 24th, soo…

Good sign? I certainly hope so.

Oh! Plus, along with the letter, they put in a pink envelope so that I could send my form in it. And on the envelope it says “Top Priority–Freshman/Transfer”. Oooo, FRESHMAN it says.

Well, we’ll see. Gawd I hope I get in…

I don't know if sending FA request forms indicates acceptance or not, but I will say the envelope isn't too surprising... you are applying for Freshman status, and it is top priority because decisions are around the corner and they probably want the info soon :P

Good luck tomorrow! If anything it's not a BAD sign, so yay.

Thanks very much! You too, most definitely. :)

Yea, if they had sent a fin aid request any time other than thisclose to the decision date, I would say it doesn't mean anything. But, but, but, when it's this late, I dunno..it seems mighty suspicious that they'd send something to a rejectee. Oh well, mustn't get too excited. It'll be a cruel fall back to earth if I find out I haven't been admitted.

I got something similar... my father recently passed away so my financial situation is unusual. I was sent a personalized note expressing their sympathies for my situation and that they needed more information to finish my financial aid package... the letter was dated March 22nd. Why would they do this for a rejectee?? I hope this is a good sign.

"And on the envelope it says "Top Priority--Freshman/Transfer"

Yes I got one of these too

Hey guys,

I am so sorry to hear of your loss, legendofmax... I hope everything is okay, because the past week has been madness.

Oh well...too many variables to determine anything. Good luck to all!
