i just got my accetpance to this program though, so im seeing if anyone else here may be going</p>

<p>I applied to the program too and got accepted! I actually applied to the summer science academy (physics). I'm into science research, but I'm a sophomore so I didn't want to do anything with a mentor. What program did you apply for, Witzness?</p>
<p>In case anybody was wondering, like soliloquy who said he's going to apply, here were my stats when I applied to physics SSA (keep in mind I've only completed one year of high school):</p>
<p>Physics SAT II - 800
AP Physics B - 5
Class Average (UW) in Physics B - 100</p>
<p>Overall Unweighted GPA - 96.7</p>
<p>Some math and science awards but i won't list - not the purpose of this thread.</p>

<p>That's a shame. These summer programs really do cost a lot. I recieved some stuff about programs in England and the fees were outrageous - it would come out to $2,000 per week without the airfare! Some of them do offer financial aid but I'm not sure how that works or how much they'd be willing to give.</p>
<p>^I know! There's this other one I really wanted to go to and they demanded all the money by May..and there's no way I (or should I say "we") could afford that.</p>
<p>I guess I'll be spending my summer working at the factory. :-/</p>
