How about the personal website? Do you use your alias username for the website or the SUNet ID? When do we create the two alias usernames? I created my SUNet ID already. It's quite original. ;-)

If your SUNet ID is johndoe and your alias is jdoe, your web space can be accessed through http://www.stanford.edu/~johndoe/ or http://johndoe.web.stanford.edu or http://jdoe.web.stanford.edu. You can create and change your 2 alises at http://stanfordyou.stanford.edu.

I cannot create my two aliases yet. I might be looking at the wrong section or maybe I don't have sponsorship? Where exactly on the stanfordyou website do I click to create the two aliases? Also, I just created my SUNet ID. Maybe that's the reason why? On the AXESS website, I am also pretty limited in my options. I can't even access my financial aid status. Maybe I'll just wait a day or two.

This is confusing! I feel stupid lol.

After you log into stanfordyou, click on "Change settings for account johndoe" and the third category is "Aliases." If you just set up your account, you may not have access to that yet.

I guess I have to wait some more. My financial aid info finally came up. However, they included both the FAFSA and IDOC on my "To-Do" list but I sent both in. There are no clickable buttons on my "change settings" category. I guess I'll wait. Thanks for all the help!

yeah give stanford financials a while to catch up and for the changes to be reflected in axess

alias creation should really be there in stanfordyou, regardless if you're base or sponsored or full

another pointer to your webspace is www.stanford.edu/people/<sunet id="" or="" alias=""></sunet>
