Woodrow and Sims Scholarships

I just got my scholarship stuff in the mail!!
Woodrow scholarship, looks like I didn’t get into capstone (long shot, but I was hoping)
28 act 3.74 uw 4.28 w
Does anyone think its possible to get more money from USC by writing a letter or calling?

@annie457 where are you from? & you can contest it. it doesnt guarantee more but you can definitely try.

We are located in Maryland outside of DC.
We typically get mail quickly, being right outside a large city- so don’t worry if you are on the east coast and didn’t get yours today- I bet it will be in tomorrows mail :)

still waiting on our mail which doesn’t come til around 6 PM here… but how do you know about Capstone? Did they include that in the scholarship letter?

DD got scholarship info today in Ohio. Cooper Scholarship - she is happy. Does anyone know if there are department scholarships?

Mail came early!! Got the Woodrow scholarship!
Live in NC. ACT 28, SAT 1280, WGPA 3.9, UGPA 3.4 (7-point grading scale).

No mention of Capstone- would that have been included or is that a separate letter?

^^I think I would call and ask.

Daughter has not seen anything about Capstone, pretty sure they have not gone out. She did not get invited to honors, and with a 2170 SAT, 4.6 weighted GPA, I’m pretty sure she would make the capstone list (still surprised she didn’t make the honors list).

Woodrow scholarship 4.2 wGPA and 30 ACT

What will annual tuition be with the Sims Scholarship?

I just assumed it all would come at the same time. Maybe not.
I live in MD but maybe since I’ve had three family members graduate from USC, it would give me a little pull with getting a little bit more. hopefully!

Daughter rec’d Woodrow scholarship as well! Also hoping for Capstone…thrilled to get the scholarship though!

Weird, NJ got letters, and Ohio, but Staten Island NY didn’t?

annie457 - if either you or spouse were one of the 3 family members that went to USC, make sure you apply for alumni legacy scholarship - $500 a year, first come first served.

My step-mom told me not to expect any financial help from FAFSA since my son is already getting Palmetto Fellows and that is also state money. We are grateful for anything.

Anxious in CT! Nothing in today’s mail. Hoping to get either Woodrow or Sims, (realistically if I get anything it will probably be Sims). 3.2 UW 3.9 W, 1270 SAT. All honors and 7 AP’s. Crossing my fingers!!! Congrats to everyone who received today!

KL2013- your stats are very similar to my sons, and he got the Woodrow.

Good Luck! :)

@NCdad1
Neither of my parents went to USC, but two of my cousins and my uncle did.

S got his letter today. McKissick - which was what we also expected due to the letter we received in December. He also go the Honor’s Invite last month. 4.0 uw/ 4.3 w gpa, 2010 SAT and top 10%.

From CA and got letters today. Sims $500 + Sims out of state tuition reduction. It’s what we were hoping for.
