<p>I’d say you’re on the fence. I live in Washington and so knows how admissions pretty much go. Sports are not that big of a deal. GPA is a VERY BIG deal. SATs are important too. Right now, I’d say you’re on the fence. With a 3.55 GPA and 1860 SAT (ACT is pretty low for UW) you’re a definitely maybe, it could sway either way. Retake the SATs maybe?
You’re out of state, so that does dampen your chances a bit. UW also cares a lot about diversity, so it depends on what type of asian you are as well. </p>
<p>i had a friend who was varsity baseball captain, varsity baseball all 4 years, 1850 SAT, 3.8 GPA, and did not get in. He was Chinese.</p>
<p>However, I had another friend who had 1700s (?) SAT, 3.6, no ECs and was Laos and got in. </p>
<p>UW accepts a range of people, but right now, I’d say you’re on the fence. Good luck with everything!</p>
