"how does one apply to about 11 or 12 schools."

I applied to 11 schools and paid NOTHING. I got fee waivers for every single one of them, I got fee waivers for everything including standardized tests. But I think it's because my dad is close to the poverty level and my real mom who doesn't live with me is unemployed. But if you want too, most likely you already did. (lol) Good Luck!

p.s. I applied to alot bc I was scared I wouldn't get in anywhere lol. Idk i'm just scared, I hate rejection, that's one of the MAJOR reasons why I didn't apply to Harvard. Cuz it is what it is for me; a DREAM. Most likely MED school but not now. Good Luck again!

argh... trying to fax in financial aid form but not working... probably have to wait till Monday to get it through...

class of 2011 here. i started looking at this forum a lot before decisions came out (can't believe it was two years ago already) and i just remembered it. good luck to everyone, and i can't wait to meet some of you next year!

hmm I thought Brown was very easy to get into... I don't know for sure yet but I have a feeling that I will get in.

i am deciding between harvard and university of southern california?

hpw1992, definitely go to USC rolls eyes

WHAT ARE YOU WAITING FOR?
GO TO HARVARD!!!
the most prestigious school in the WORLD!!!

man, even my friend, who scored 1850 on the SAT and 3.3 GPA, got into USC…
you don’t want to be part of these people…

you want to bond with those like yourself, who are extremely capable and intelligent!!!

GO! there is no time to waste!

woohoo. i got in.

^I didn’t, but that’s perfectly all right. I’ll be going to Princeton this fall (woohoo!).

hi! im a future harvard applicant, and I just wanted to know if the fact that im gonna apply to various universities will affect my chances of getting in…
PD: Sorry about my english, im from Venezuela…

Am I the only one preparing this far ahead of time? I have an interview in two weeks. I see alot of posts saying you can only get an interview once you’ve applied, but I just called and set one up. It will be at the college, and I am not sure if it’s purely informational, or will count toward my aplication process. If anyone knows please inform me. Also, what might the “informational” interview look like? Should I be prepared for a grueling, or just an open ended convo? …and dress code?
Is it a turn-off if you do not apply to every other Ivy League out there? I mean, I just want to go to Harvard…
Also, should I bring a portfolio, resume, etc…?

Chill out, will you?

If your “interview” is “informational”, then most likely they’ll just treat it as a campus visit. Just be casual and ask whatever. Nobody really cares. No resume and/or suit necessary.

Right, although no one said it was informal except myself, that is my question. I still don’t understand if this interview will be taken into consideration when I apply.Thank you for your input. I think I’ll bring a portfolio/resume to be prepared. There’s nothing not “chill” about being prepared and confident.
