<p>On the common app the supplement for UVA has an essay without a min or max word count. The freshman essay is also included on the supplement for first year applicants and that one says max 250 words. Should I assume max 250 for the transfer essay too? I don't want to submit something too long if their looking for 250 or too short if their looking for min of 500.</p>
<p>I think if they had meant for that to have a min.they would have stated it. I know for the school i'm applying to they said one thing they take into account is how short the essay is about why they want to go to that particular school, and if it is short they are not very impressed. At the same time it shouldn't be a novel, but I think mine is about 750 words. i hope that helps</p>
