<p>The short answer question on the common app has a limit of 250 word/1000 characters. I have 255 words but 930 characters (with spaces). Do I need to cut out 5 words, or is that not necessary since I've already met the requirements for the character count?</p>
<p>I don’t think five words will matter. Fifty, maybe, but no one’s sitting there suspiciously looking to see who went slightly over the limit.</p>
