Word limit on Additional Information?

I have a lot of additional information.

I mean, a LOT. I wasn't able to squeeze even half of my extracurriculars in the activities portion, have taken classes at community colleges nearly every summer (and summer during the year) and I have more AP/Subject tests than can fill in the slots provided.

Furthermore, I also have a lot of history with family issues/responsibilities/adversity my school guidance counselor highly recommended that I include.

I don't mean to sound pretentious or anything, but the even when I've cut down the fat of my additional information and reduced it to just bulletpoints, it still clocks in at well over 600 words.

I noticed there is a 500 word cap on the personal essay, but is there a limit on the Common App additional information document?

I really have just a lot to talk about and share with the schools I am applying to and my counselor said that for my own sake I need to include everything and anything about my character in my application; I just don't want anything to get cut out or have the admissions officer stop reading after a certain point too.

If anyone could get back to me ASAP on this, then I would be very appreciative :)

For the personal essay, and the additional information essay, my S was able to upload a complete document without worrying about the word limits. You can’t make changes to the essay once you upload it to the common app, however. (You can remove the document, and replace it with another, but you can’t edit it in the common app after it’s been uploaded.)

So, draft your additional info essay. Make sure it’s as perfect as you can make it. Put your name and DOB at the top of it, because it will appear in the preview at the END of your application. Save it on your computer. Upload the saved document into the common app. (It takes a few minutes). Then PREVIEW the whole thing to look at it on the page. Print the Preview for your files.
