Sent everything in October 20th - but I still haven't heard from them? What is going on?!! Is it just me?

Submitted app on October 23 (everything else was sent in about a month earlier), Wolverine Access doesn't even say complete yet.

Everything is received though, so hopefully they have begun reviewing my app.

I heard they review every month... so shouldn't they be done for October? I mean it's past Thanksgiving already. I'm a bit nervous. And how do you access Wolverine Access?

It can take as little as 4 weeks but as much as 12 weeks to get an answer. There is not need to panic.

Whoever told you "they review every month" is misinformed.

I've typed on and on at length about how Michigan makes decisions. My fingers can't do it again! At least not tonight.

mhmm. My career center counselor said that, she's the college consultant for our school? haha.

I applied in mid-october and got in last wednesday. What is that... five, six weeks.

it's supposed to take as long as 12, so dont worry

Does anyone have an estimate of the time between being notified of acceptance on-line and getting the acceptance package in the mail?

Perhaps she's thinking of the old system, where Michigan ran "mass admits" periodically.

Generally speaking, Michigan will make decisions every week. Not on all apps, of course--some will be held for another week or six. But generally mail bearing decisions is heading OUT of the admissions office every single week from mid-late October until the late winter.

Is it true that no decisions come out between Christmas and New Year's?

Yeah, the university shuts down. Admissions does bring in people to process mail, update the system, and so on. It's too busy to really shut the office down, so they pay people good money to keep on top of the massive volumes of mail. And I'm sure at least some of the readers will take folders home and keep plowing through. But I doubt decisions will go out.

hoedown - That's what I thought, thanks.
