Apparently after my third guess there were only two possibilities and, as usual, I guessed the wrong one first. I will say that I’m surprised that the answer was a Wordle possibility, as I have had other guesses that I feel are more common than this word that were not part of the official Wordle solutions.

Yeah, I do think it is pretty irritating that many common words are not in the solution set. According to the wordlebot, there was only one possible solution after my second guess. But that is because the solution set is limited, which is fine, but it is not like my (incorrect) third guess was an unusual word. I had no reason to know it is not one of “the 2,309” wordle solutions. Unless, I am missed something in the instructions about how to play, there doesn’t seem to be any particular rhyme or reason for why certain words are possible solutions and others are not.

I haven’t seen any directions about how certain words are chosen (or not chosen) either. I’ve now come to look at the official list of words more often when I think there’s a possibility of it not being a solution.

Ugh! This was right in front of me & I didn’t see it! Like @bgbg4us my 5th guess was not a word that I expected to turn-I was just typing in letters to see if it looked correct to me!
