Words from a current student at UCF

Some spots opened up and I was offered a spot! I’m so excited
do you know if they’ll send more information about the program and what not since I’ve been admitted?

I saw your other thread, from before you decided on going to UCF…

Now that you actually go to this school, has your opinion changed? I’m trying to consider all my options, even the schools her locally in FL.

Are the bad things you heard about it true? What where the things you heard?

Thanks! :)

My understanding is that they took 24 students into the MT BFA program this year.
Daughter scored very low on the music theory test, but got in anyway… she will need to take a basic theory class before she can get into the regular theory… too expensive to do online this summer.

We are excited that our daughter will be attending UCF… we loved the accessibility of the faculty, the friendliness and diversity of the students we met. UCF was recommended to us in North Carolin by daughter’s voice teacher, plus her acting teacher who got her Masters there.

UCF offers a very active schedule of performance opportunities… 1 musical per semester, plus 4 other productions are scheduled for this fall.

I am considering applying for fall 2012 at UCF, but I am not a strong dancer. I am a singer and have a strong music background. Theory and vocally, I shouldn’t have a problem, but I am worried about the dance part. Also, I am a male and would like to know if there are fewer males or are we about even? Any advice would help.
