Work during law school?

I was wondering how easy is it to find a job in the legal field while still in law school?

I plan on graduating with a degree in International Studies and then attending law school. However I really feel the need to work during law school to take the financial weight off my parents. I don't want to be 24 and still relying on them. I'm sure it's not "easy" to balance a job while attending school, but what opportunities are out there? I know it's possible. After all, President Obama worked as a law clerk while attending Harvard Law.

Many law schools have a policy against working during the 1L year. After that, you should be able to find a part time job with a law firm or sole practitioner. But it will be difficult to make enough money to actually pay for law school during law school. You'll likely need to take out some loans even if you find a part-time job.
