Work Experience certificate

<p>Hello guys, I just wanted to know if UCs ask for work experience certificates for the work experience listed in my profile. I worked for 4 years after my high school. I worked almost a year at a company which went bankrupt and the management just disappeared with in a day and I could not avail work experience certificate for that company. I worked for another company for year and half and then for my father's pharmaceutical marketing company for 2 years, I have official documents stating my work experience from both of these companies.
So is that missing official document for my first job going to be critical? Do the UCs ask for all the official work exp. documents? And if I skip mentioning my first job, how would I explain the gap year after my high school graduation? </p>

<p>p.s. i am fall 2013 transfer applicant for mechanical engineering.

<p>No they do not. You’re applying to a UC, not to a job company.</p>

<p>Nothing to worry about. They aren’t going to call or contact your previous employers. They just want to know if you have any work/volunteer experience.</p>
