I am thinking about applying to an MBA. I want to go to a top 10 program if possible, specifically HBS, MIT, Wharton, Chicago, or Columbia. My undergraduate gpa is 3.44 and my gmat score is 710. I have three years of full-time work experience. I also have received several professional designations such as: CFP, ChFC, and CLU. My main question is regarding my work experience. I have worked in the insurance industry as a producer for one of the largest life insurance companies in the nation. I have had success at work, but my question is whether having worked as an insurance agent sufficient for getting into one of the top MBA programs?

Good post, I’m also curious.
