Hello! I'm a Freshman in college, considering a Philosophy major. I want to spend my summer productively. I want to get a job or an internship, but preferably in the Philosophy field? I could try to apply to a Law firm or an advertising firm, but that's not what I want, since that's not really related to my major? What jobs are available to people like me? Do Philosophy professors hire people like me? I mean, there are internships for people without experience in Law, Advertising, etc. That's the point of having an internship. They get you experience in a certain field and also help you decide if you want to work there. Aren't there opportunities for gaining experience doing research in Philosophy?

I don’t know about internships, but you might be interested in this program (Carnegie Mellon Summer School in Logic and Formal Epistemology). They don’t have 2015 information posted yet.
