I am a junior. Here are my classes so far: (Asterisks are next to courses that are considered "honor courses" even if the name does not include the words "honors" or "accelerated". Non-asterisks means those courses are either required for graduation, so these courses are not honor courses, OR prerequisites for honor courses. Conclusively, I am taking the most rigorous schedule my high school offers.)

So looking at my junior courses, I have a French I in there. Spanish IV is rarely offered in my school, and I couldn't fit any other honors course in place of French I. Should I just take French I anyways, and continue with French II and French III senior year, GIVEN THAT next year's courses might have schedule conflicts, so French II and French III might not even fit in my schedule. That's my dream senior schedule, and it usually doesn't work out the way I want it to.

Or should I just take French I off, and go to work instead? I have enough credits, so my school allows me to drop a course and go to work instead. What do you think? I could dual enroll in a different course at a community college in place of French I, but I'd rather work for the first time to get an income.

As a college admission officer, what would you prefer I do?

If this helps any, I'm first in my class with an unweighted GPA of 4.0 and a weighted GPA of 4.4, which will go much higher after this year.
