Work-study Interview

I'm going to be interviewed for work-study before seminar start. Any advices for a freshman at the interview? What to wear? Bring resume? Anything I should know before hand?

And an offtopic question, I'm dorming this year. It is wise to stay on move-in day so I could get used to new college life? :D

Whats your work study? Maybe you mean something different than what I’m thinking, for mine I picked a couple of possible jobs and was assigned one…

some work study jobs still require an interview before they “hire” you. I know mines turned away a few students.

Wear business casual and bring your social security card (in case they “hire” you on the spot when you also fill out payroll, tax forms, etc.) Come up with your strengths, weaknesses, goals in life (like major, career) and what you can gain from your assigned job. Go with questions, which I’m sure you have such as if you can read a textbook during down time or breaks or how many hours you need to fill or if you can call out sick, etc. etc.

Think polo shirt and black pants would be alright? What about jeans?
