<p>So Rutgers gave me 2000 in Work Study...half first sem and second half sec sem. My question is do we actually max out to that point or will we always be under that point?</p>
<p>Depends on your job, make sure they give you enough hours to qualify for work study next year too. When I was a freshman they placed me in intercity tutoring, got something like 4 hours a week and at the end was informed I didn’t work enough hours to qualify for workstudy next semester. Sucks, I like free money.</p>
<p>Depending on your job, you can work $1500 worth in hrs in first semester and if you are busy in 2nd semester you can reduce your hours or vice versa. Once you pass 2000, most likely the department you work for while pay the money made after 2000 or request more stipend for you. I believe you need to make $750 out of the $2000 to get workstudy again. It was $1000 but there were a lot of students who complained and they lowered it.</p>
