Work study Vs No work study?

<p>I haven't seen this question being answered. any help is appreciated.</p>

<p>Is work study part of your FA package? If yes, and you choose to turn it down then you must come up with a way to make up the short fall.</p>

<p>Work-study postions vary from school to school and on-average take up about 10 hours a week. It is a good way to start building your resume and contacts for life after undergrad.</p>

<p>My son is on work study at UC Berkeley. During the school year he worked approx 10 hours per week and now, during the summer, he is working 40 hours per week. It has been a great experience for him, especially in making the campus seem "smaller," building friendships, leadership, and future jobs.</p>

<p>THe financial aid office worked with him to give him the highest amount of work study possible (and lowered the loan portion of his FA package).</p>
