Work-study

Just curious--what is the average work-study amount you have been awarded per quarter?

$1,000. I have to add more characters now because just “$1,000” is too short.

Yes, per quarter, $1000. I think that is the max.

is work-study just odd jobs that you do around school? how hours do you work per quarter?

Not really, it’s only one job – you get one position, normally. [Student Office of Financial Aid](http://www.washington.edu/students/osfa/ugaid/workstudy.positions.html) Your income is capped at $3000 per year (or whatever your award is) so you base your hours around that. If you get paid less you work more hours, if you get paid more you work fewer hours. Personally I work about 10 hours per week, with some days off throughout the quarter.
