<p>Hello I was offered 3000 a year for work study in my fin aid packet. I do not know much about this at all. I kno like 60% of that money is gov and the other 40% is from the school i think. I also saw that with Miami you get a job or somin like 10 days before school starts. If anyone can give me advice on this I would really appreciate it. Like if i should do it or not and what are some of the best jobs. (Ladyconfused??) Thanks.</p>

<p>Log onto MYUM and go to the "Life at UM" section. There will be an option to search for work study employment and you can browse around and see the types of jobs available. I think most kids apply when they get to campus but don't be afraid to call the FA office now with your questions. They are there to help you. </p>

<p>My-3-sons is right... the only advice I can give is that "calling canes" offers the highest salary for students as far as on campus jobs go</p>
