Am I going to have a good chance at getting a job at Cornell? I'm not particularly concerned about what kind of job I get, it's just crucial that I find a way to earn money. I'm getting Federal Work-Study, and I'd prefer a job on-campus... but it doesn't look like there are very many openings right now. Do most people at least find a job?

There are tons of jobs available at the beginning of school - I'd start looking once you get onto campus (Friday is when most of the academic year jobs will be first posted).
student-jobs.ses.cornell.edu/jobs/ is where jobs are posted for on-campus (if this link doesn't work, type in 'student jobs' to the search on the school's main page and it's the second link).
I'd also check out different academic/student services offices to see what's available - places like Financial Aid, Commitment, and department offices usually all hire in the fall. I'd also check out the Public Service Center (200 Barnes) for some great jobs (even though many are off-campus and I know that's one of your preferences).

In my experience, it's easy to find any job (so most who look will find something), but harder to find a particular job that you may like (ie. research, working in a particular library, etc). I've held many jobs while on campus and I've only had trouble finding ones I was attracted to.

Sorry, in that link, click on 'Jobs', and then I usually just search all (most are on-campus anyway).
