i was wondering if anybody with a work study award has applied for jobs on seo.georgetown.edu. ive found a few jobs i liked and im planning to apply to them this week. i just wanted to know if im way behind the game and hoping that the jobs arent all filled up by now.

I've applied for about 5, and have gotten 2 emails back for interviews when I get on campus. I think you should be fine, because they probably start posting new jobs when school starts too.

Ah, jeez. Aren't I late.

Nah.. don't worry about it. most jobs aren't even posted until the beginning of the semster. P.S. A great work study job is at any of the academic departments (i.e. History, Sociology, English, etc) They always have free food and there isn't that much to do.

I decided to revive this thread. What are employers expecting when you send them an e-mail stating your interest? A "Hi, I'm interested in such and such a job" (Probably more formal than that you but you know what I mean). They're not expecting a full out resume correct?

hey, well, you should fill out the app online, you get there through the career center website, very easy. They rarely ask for a "Resume", but adding a sentence about any experience can only help.

Can you have a high EFC and still apply for work study?

I don't have work study but I believe that you are granted work study as part of a financial aid packet. (?) I'm not an authority though.
