What are some of the work study jobs at Binghamton? How much do they pay? At the tour, the tour guide said the OCCT bus drivers make the most money, but I don't want to drive a bus, lol.

Also, around how much money do you spend monthly?

I don’t think the OCCT drivers are work study only. I know that all the library jobs are reserved for work study (tried to get a job there… sigh)…

And it depend on your habits. If you are content with eating dinning hall 24/7 and can eat within their time frames, and you don’t really need that much stuff from Wal-Mart or the mall, then maybe 10 dollars a week? I spend more but that’s only because I am addicted to Chinese food and must have my fix once a week… XD

I think OCCT and tutoring makes roughly the same amount. $9-10 an hour. However, your hours for tutoring are much more variable since your students can decide to cancel on you. OCCT is more stable, but it’s much more riskier. Did you hear? An OCCT bus recently blew up in the UP parking lot. Being a student-run organization, they’ve recently been facing a lot of budget cuts, so expect working short hours.

I think tutoring is the better job IMO, since it’s pretty easy if you know your stuff.

If you dont want to do either of those, I would apply to work study as early as possible, since they’ll usually be filled up after a month. Some are great in that you don’t really do much and are allowed to bring your books to study (Library and AV department), but others require you to work constantly.
