anybody going to rice know how much you can make working during the school year for 15-20 hrs per week?

For on campus jobs, take a look at http://www.ruf.rice.edu/~fina/Jobs/studentjob.htm

i edit maps for $8.00/hr and i work only 6 hours a week. easiest job ever.....

DD makes 8.25 an hour at a job that she really enjoys. Sometimes she can study a little while at work, if things are slow.

There are a lot of jobs available. The wage rates range from $6.50 to $12 per hour (in some of the specialized jobs, such as research or IT). I currently work for IT and earn $7.50 per hour and work 9 hours a week. If you get a job in the library or some other place without too much action, you can even study the whole time. The downside is that if you're applying to the library a little later, you may have to take shifts on Friday and Saturday nights.

I currently work at the ERC (electronic resource center, i.e. a media computer lab) for 7.75/hr (bumped to 8.25 next year). It's a really easy job with very little actual work involved. Mostly I do my homework or browse the internet, 13 hours a week.

how do you find out about this easy and well paid jobs?

link above, flyers, also on the IT site

I found my job on the website.. $10/hr working for a poli sci prof's NSF grant project. I get to make my own hours depending on how much I can/want to work. The best part (at least for work-study)... no taxes!

i chose my job, bc im guaranteed full time in the summer, i looked at those $10/hr ones, and it only offered about 20-30 hrs in the summer.

that's nice if you're in houston.
