Working for a dentist

How does this look for fulfilling clinical experience to prepare for med school? As a dentist receptionist, I have to deal with patients, insurance, and do some minor medical tasks (take x-rays and help suction a patient's mouth during tooth extractions).

I'm willing to bet that for an interview for med school, they would ask "why not become a dentist?". I am not worried about such a question, but I am wondering how they will view getting clinical experience in a dental office.

I count this as getting more patient-style clinical experience obviously due to the less-technical nature of my work. The other type I would need would be more technical-style clinical experience (like shadowing). The third type which is optional (depending on the med school) is the really technical (clinical research).
