Working hard at Georgia Tech

Since the beginning of high school, I've wanted to go to a T20 school more than anything. And of course, my academics reflect that...

However, competition is just rising at unprecendented rates and so are tuition costs(i do qualify for aid) and I am beginning to realize the very real possibility of attending an in-state.

Thankfully, I have a very good Georgia Tech not too far from me. This will be where i will most likely go if nowhere better. My question is, can working hard at Georgia Tech provide me with the opportunity to break into big business or consulting? (I DON'T want to become an engineer...) I know the school is not known for this, but I am sure I have the potential to be one of the better overall students at this school. Can I still be successful working hard here? Does Georgia Tech provide good opportunities outside engineering?

If you want to go to grad school, college GPA is one of the most important factors. Go to Georgia Tech, get a 4.0, impress the faculty in your major, shamelessly exploit the alumni network, and doors will open.
