Be seeing you there too -- I am totally planning on going there at least once a day or at least every other day.

My elbows used to get sore too, but the more I worked out while they were hurting, the less they got sore. Over time it just became okay and it's not a problem anymore! Good luck with the working out!

Sorry, I overgeneralized. Going at a too high heart rate for a sustained period of time would probably inhibit your muscle mass growth, which you probably don't want. Extreme cardio does inhibit mass.

But dipping into the high end your your MHR in interval training is fine, and probably beneficial. Look at the sprinter's physique: They have almost no fat on them and their bodies are tremendous

it's perfectly fine to dip into high heart rates during interval training. just be reasonable about it. i'll agree to an extent that sprinters bodies are good, but not the one i'm going for. (yes i can appreciate the work and drive it took to get there, i'm definitely not taking anything away from them!) they're lean as hell no doubt from constantly running, and have powerful legs, arms, core, and shoulders to power themselves forward. explosive and plyometric sport-specific training though. it would be great, but all most of us want to do is look good nekkid!! :)
