does anyone know of any ucla organizations (volunteer or clubs) that work with kids? i'm preparing to be a teacher and think it would be a great experience. the only one i've heard of so far is 'writer's den', which i'm looking into. but any others would be awesome, thanks!

You can apply for Spring quarter. Just make sure to apply to site that have children. Some sites have high schoolers or adults. In my experience, with the children, it’s one-on-one.
