Hows the workload and how are the professors for my courses this winter quarter.
I've already read the stuff on ratemyprofessors.com, but I want to know what you CCers think. I really need to raise my 2.1 from 1st quarter, but I also want to really learn, inside and out, the material well. Any thoughts?
Chem6a: Sinha, Amitabha
Math10B:Eggers, John Dietrich
MMW2: Chang Edmund Yi-Teh
BILD 3: Woodruff, David S(number 23 on the waitlist)

Professors I didn't pick this winter:
Chem6a: Hoeger, Carl
Math10b: Volpato, Michael;Kong, Shengli; Lunasin, Evelyn Manalo
Bild 3: Henter, Heather J.(number 15 in the waitlist if chosen)
MMW2: Chamberlain, Charles Thoms; Cohen, Richard S.; duBois, Page Ann

Eggers is top notch for Math. He's a bit harder, but you'll be prepared for 10C. He's also pretty personable and tends to make extra office hours if you just ask after class.

His curve is very generous. He doesn't allow cheat sheets (at least not for 20C)

astrina,
Is sinha really that bad? I really have no choice but to take him. Would it be stupid to go to Hoeger's lectures, but be enrolled with Sinha? I went to his lecture today and my first impression of him isn't that great.
FYI, the only way I could take Hoeger is by missing lecture every friday. Would it be worth the switch given that situation?
I desperately need to raise my GPA.

i had sinha today, he wasnt all that bad...i kinda like his grading system where he drops the lowest midterm but doubles the final..but iono how hoeger is doing it as well haha..i had hoeger last qtr he wasnt all too great but he gave generous curves xD but its up to you ultimately
