workload at these colleges

ok well, im looking at several different colleges and one thing thats gonna be a big part of my decision is the workload. now, im not opposed to working for my grades, but what I dont want is to look back at my college life and remember me studying in my dorm. I'd also like to be able to have some blow off classes too, so anyway, these are the places im considering.

austin college
trinity university (san antonio)
texas A&M
university of oklahoma
university of washington

any info about the workload at those colleges would be great

workload is much more dependant on the individual professor than the actual school. I've had professors where as long as you show up to lecture you can get an A - and professors where you're not even sure the professor could get an A in the class.

oh yeah, I wanted to mention that right now Ive been taking 1 AP, 2 honors, 2 regulars, and 2 blow off classes my junior and senior year and I could do more significantly higher amounts of work might be a bit overwhelming

Texas A&M is what you make of it. Engineering is not easy there, but I imagine a Geography major would not be overworked. Students I talked to at Austin College seem to be somewhat studious, but not excessively. Actually, we visited on a weekday and only a couple kids were in the library. Trinity seems about the same as Austin College to me. You will be challenged if you want to, but it is possible to slack off somewhat. I do not know about OU or Washington.
