Thanks! No, it is an acceptance letter and that’s it! Since USC is really expensive even by American standards and there’s very limited FA for international students, I’m pretty sure that I won’t accept the offer.
@justanotherGermanapplicant Congratulations!! Regardless, this definitely a good sign for WBB decisions
I just received an interview invitation from an AO from HKUST. She told me that the WBB program director would like to talk to me and answers my questions about the program. Chinese applicant here and I applied through USC.
@Maggie1224 so did I, I am an Indian applicant.
Does anyone know how many students had applied last year?
@Maggie1224 @Pavil1870 congratulations both! You both applied through USC, but were contacted by HKUST? I do not have any information on how many people applied, but I’m assuming many
@stadtlohnlieber I believe HKUST is in charge of the interviews for asian international applicants? since there would not be much jet lag within asia
any news for those who applied through Bocconi ?
@Maggie1224 @Pavil1870 did you hear back from HKUST after the reached out to answer your questions?
@JorahTheExplorer nah…weird though
@Maggie1224 apparently USC results come out 25th midnight LA time. So I don’t see why they’d bother asking us if we have questions about admissions two weeks before that and not contact us even a week before…
@JorahTheExplorer oh the decision come out 25th midnight(you mean 25th 00:00 or 26th 00:00??) where did you find it?
@Maggie1224 They mail it out on the 23rd but since we’re in Asia, I think the portal update on Sunday 3PM SG/HK time will be available to us first. The information was on their website (http://admission.usc.edu/) and this thread (http://talk.qa.collegeconfidential.com/discussion/comment/20438031#Comment_20438031)
I GOT IN! Best of luck to anyone who hasn’t heard yet and if you’re going, see you there this fall
I got in!!
I got in as well! In your admission letter, where did it say you guys were admitted to WBB? Mine was in the “Additional Information” section.
@JorahTheExplorer Mine was in “Additional Information” too. I was actually disappointed when I first read the letter because I thought I had been admitted to non-WBB business admin lol
@actuallysad same haha but I’m glad I got in. The programme sounds great and I really want to go but at the same time I’m worried about how new it is and the lack of flexibility we’ll have…
@JorahTheExplorer I reached out to a couple current students through Facebook and they answered some of my questions so maybe you could do the same!
@actuallysad yeah I spoke to a student as well and I’m planning to meet some of the admissions officers from HKUST. I’ll probably see you in fall!
Got in, Greetings from Oxford, UK!
