World Cultures or Conversations of the West first?

Which of the two should I take first semester? Does it matter? They seem like pretty similar courses.

It doesn't really matter, they're pretty much the same.

Would it be bad to take these two courses at the same time? For example, would it be too much reading or too boring, etc.?

It is ill-advised to do that. Both courses are reading/essay intensive. It's best to take them one at a time, which virtually all NYU students do.

Yeah, two at a time is NOT a good idea, especially first semester freshman year. Either or will be good - whichever you find interesting and fits into your schedule.

oh, ok. thanks so much!

remember, world cultures is a good way to explore ur major options... if in case u're considering focusing on a particular region of the world...
