<p>I put my money on Spain and Brazil in the finals, too. But I had Brazil and Ivory Coast rather than Brazil and Portugal.</p>
<p>Ivory Coast will beat Portugal…wait did I repeat myself on purpose?</p>

<p>^^^I can’t wait to watch the World Cup games in Ecuador! I am not a big soccer/futbol fan (never watched it growing up) but even I can appreciate the excitement that it brings to people (everywhere but the US, it seems).</p>

- ??? have no idea how good any of them are lol
GROUP G - Brazil
- Ivory Coast (Group of death, Ivory Coast went out last time in the group of death, they are hungrier than before and they’re in Africa this time so I think they will beat Portugal)
GROUP H - Spain
- Switzerland</p>
<p>QUARTERFINALS
- France (I love the Koreans… But gotta go with the french)
- Germany (Germans always do well somehow in the WC, bb USA)
- Italy (Hate the Italians, but they deserve the quarterfinals at least)
- Ivory Coast (again… I’m going for a huge upset over here with Spain losing to Ivory Coast even though a lot of ppl claim that Spain has the most complete squad, the Spanish have never done well in the WC)
- Brazil (easy prediction)
- Holland (easy prediction, Holland have an underrated team imo)
- England (this will be close, but England will edge out Ghana)
- Argentina (again, I think these guys have an amazing shot for the WC)</p>

- Argentina (I think they’ll beat the Germans or anybody else they meet easily)
- Ivory Coast (mama africa)
- England (England and France will face off, but England are gaining momentum in the WC)
- Holland (Brazil are the soccer nation, but they are not as strong as other years)</p>

- Argentina (Ivory Coast will put up an amazing display for one of the most entertaining soccer games of the world cup but they’ll go down in the semis… high scoring game)
- England (Holland will fight them until the penalties, but England will pull through)</p>

<p>I’m really excited for this World Cup. I’m hoping an African team, preferably the Ivory Coast, wins the cup. For some reason, I think that powerhouse teams like Brazil/Spain will disappoint. </p>

<p>Argentina to win? They barely qualified and Maradona’s a nut of a coach. </p>
<p>I pick Spain to beat Brazil in the finals. USA have the means to upset England on June 12th but will manage to screw up against Slovenia/Algeria and finish 2nd in the group. They’ll be eliminated Round of 16 or quarter finals at the latest.</p>
<p>No way Argentina wins. Maradona will implode and Messi is not his usual Barca self when he puts on the national colors.</p>
<p>I hope people keep underestimating them. Maradona may not be an amazing coach, but he will know how to instill inspiration in the argentine time team made up of Messi, Tevez, milito, Aguero, Higuain, Maria, Veron, Macherano, Pastore, Demichilles, Samuel, Nicolas and others.</p>
<p>Argentina and Barca play a different style of football. Messi thrives at Barca because he has players like Xavi and Iniesta who are world class players in their own right and Henry and Ibrahimovic to help take the scoring load off and more importantly some defenders off of him. Also, Barca plays a much more attacking style than the defensive Argentines. </p>
<p>Maradona is absolutely insane. </p>
<p>I do not think that they will make it to the finals even though they have the talent to win it all.</p>

I can see several teams winning the WC tbh. A lot of extremely good teams. My top picks are Spain, Argentina, Brazil, England, Holland in no order so a lot of teams to pick from lol. Ivory Coast is my black horse though.</p>
<p>Spain and Brazil are the 2 best teams by a mile. Seriously, it’s those 2 in the finals.</p>
<p>^^^ I totally agree. Besides, when I made my predictions, I was taking into account South Africa’s weather. Don’t forget about the weather. Teams from cold climates will suffer (obviously). That is why I believe Spain and Brazil could be in the finals, but then again you never know. . . </p>
<p>I have the feeling something <em>shocking</em> could happen this world cup. Something the general audiance least expected.</p>
<p>^I’m not trying to be an ass, but you do realize the seasons are switched in the southern hemisphere and it is about to be winter there. The weather if anything will help cold weather teams.</p>
