USA win, ARG win, Chile next week. Lez do it.

So now it looks like the Brits and Yanks will be tied after all their games. And then it comes down to who has scored more goals out of all 3 games? If so, I think we have got a legitimite chance at coming out first if we can crush Algeria and Slovenia (I don’t want to jinx myself though ( Oh and by the way I’m not big on goalies but Howard is a beast.

just wondering if anyone remembers this

[YouTube - paul robinson’s own goal](http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=hG_N7IlcWk8)

KC… you are counting the chickens pretty early, IMO. I do not think it is anywhere close to a given that we will win the next 2 games.

England coach gets paid 18 times what the US coach gets paid ($9M v. $500k)

Can Robert Green fail more?

If the Brits got a point today than that must make it the most successful day in Welsh football history.

I think Obama should intervene in USA soccer, much like what happened with South Africa in Invictus.

If we lose to Slovenia, we are out no doubt (rhyme not intended). I think from Algeria’s performance lets just say they lose all their games. If we tie Slovenia, and England either ties or beats Slovenia we make it out. If we beat Slovenia, then we make it out for sure. If we manage to beat both Algeira and Slovenia we have a chance at coming out as first. If we beat them both and so does England, it all comes down to who has more goals. My prediction is England and USA make it out, England on top. But I hope not, Germany is looking really good as of now.

No sorry, if England ties with Slovenia and so do we then it all comes out even. And then whoever has the most goals make it out.

These Robert Green jokes are getting out of hand. In fact, they’re starting to cross the line.

what are you going to do? everybody’s doing it. Just look back at those Sarah Palin and Russia jokes

Why isn’t Beckham playing?

goal differential is the first tiebreaker, so if all those ties happen, it will be the 2 teams that beat Algeria by the most. Slovenia beat them 1-0, so we would have to do better than that.

So, you are correct we do still control our own destiny even if we tie Slovenia, though since the 3rd games are played at the same time, we won’t know what we have to do.

Injury + mediocrity

can they ban those ****ing vuvuzelas?

Why is everyone getting so irked by the vuvuzelas? They’re in almost every serious football match. The noise shouldn’t surprise anyone. Unless they’re hindering communication on the field, I see no reason why they should be banned.

bumping, Brazil vs North Korea.

Nobody watching? An amazing game, North Korea put up a good fight and that last minute goal from Ji Yun Nam was unexpected.
