****...World Cup

Ohhh Czech Goalll

At least Koller is not coming back...but we are still:
Czech Republic 2-0 United States near halftime. We are too weak to just take the shots, and have owned the ball 58% of the elapsed time; yet we are still losing badly.

USA lacks a sense of mischief

I wish we were playing Angola or Ivory Coast style: run at them every time you get the ball without regard.
And just as I say this, Czech Republic 3-0 United States...if we score once, we will be lucky.

We came out awfully flat today. Eddie Johnson looked good when he came in as a sub though. Arena should start him against Italy. Onyewu didn't play a great game, hopefully he can rebound.

Damn, we got our asses beat...
Czech Republic 3-0 United States; biggest goal differential so far in the World Cup.

hmm italy is playing really well but they have 2 players that are just... crap. gilardino and grosso. They need zambrotta and gattuso to get better in order to go far. Plus to put in del piero instead of gilardino...

i knew the USA would lose...after losing to freaking morocco like a couple weeks before the world cup, how could they expect to beat the freaking czechs...also ghana played with some real intensity...i thought it was funny how the italians were celebrating like they had won the world cup after their second goal...the ghana players need to learn how to shoot the ball on goal (and not shank shots 15 feet wide of the goal)....that richard kingston played a hell of a game in goal

Definitely have enjoy the WC thus far...i've really been impressed by a few teams:
-Ecuador (finally starting to play well after months of sub-par performances)
-Cote d'Ivoire (played well vs. Arg. although they lost...I think they can pull a will vs. Ned. and come out second)
-Italy (played confidently, finished well, took advantage of their opportunties, etc.)
-Trinidad & Tobago (showed a lot of heart, played well against a contending Swedish team)
-Australia (played a solid match and were able to come through in the end)

My team, Mexico, came out slow and played a terrible first half but were able to finish strong with a 3-1 win. Hopefully we play well against what I thought to be a sluggish Portuguese team.

I think that Switzerland will play well tomorrow and hopefully beat France...but we'll see.

I reckon australia's gonna beat Brazil. Bring it on Brazil :)

AUSSIE AUSSIE AUSSIE

OI OI OI

Wow Kingson (ghana)... awesome saves... But Ghana strikers - they sucked. All the shots at the goal were friggin going everywhere but the goal.
Italy vs ghana was probably one of the most boring wc06 games.

I watched a re-run of the Portugal match and realised how BADLY Christiano ronaldo played! And he knew and he was so frustrated..just wasn't his day that day... (but awesome ball skills). He's so sexy.

Korea is having problems with Togo...this is rather interesting. The current score is Togo 1-0 South Korea, and if Korea is playing this way in the second half this may be another blowout.

Asian pride!

Hell, yeah!!!! Korea won 2-1 against Togo! :D :D

(And I'm an Asian living in Romania.)

France Vs. Switzerland Kickoff

wow thats some pretty bad refereeing

good match between france and switzerland...definitely a lot of opportunities that both teams didn't capitalize on. I think the young swiss team has a good chance of beating both togo and south korea (who played a pretty bad game today).

Hmmmm...so many opportunities...no goals...

France vs Switzerland is not very telling because they play each other very often (like 5 or 6 times each year). Their players know each other inside out. But I must say they both looked pretty decent.

Beautiful goal.... (Kaka for Brazil)

C'mon, Croatia! Equalizer in the second half!

Damn I want croatia to atleast tie.. I know way too many brazilians whose head grows almost to the point of explosion when they win.
