I think I'm being forced to cheer for Portugal...the camp I'm working at has one of the top physics students from Portugal, and one of the top math students from Portugal.

So sorry Reeses...maybe in 2010! hehe!!! Allez les bleus! Vive la France!!! Yay!

YAY! HA take that Spain! Vive la france, pour tout le monde!!!!!

All right!!! There's still some fire left in old Zidane and Les Bleus.

LOL. All right. All of you win. I actually had a feeling that Spain might blow it after France made that first goal. (However, that was a good game overall.)

It was indeed a great game. Argentina vs Germany, England vs Portugal and Brazil vs France. Awesome quarterfinal matches.

Winners = Germany, Portugal (although I'm rootin for England), Brazil

I say Germany, England, Italy and France, with France beating Germany in the finals.

Brazil is just on another level, they don't even have to try and they win their games. Too many stars on that team to even think they are going to lose. England is just getting by, they are out against Portugal next round. I got Germany, Italy, Portugal, and Brazil winning, then a Germany-Brazil final with Brazil taking it.

Brazil's defense is suspect. Their midfield and forwards are exellent, but the defense can be exploited.

Yeah, the announcers were talking about how the back two for Brazil leave too much space open in the middle. If Ghana could've gotten quality strikes on their open shots (and not had the Brazil goalie happen to flail just right to block the one header), things would've been a lot different.

Just how good is Zidane? Today, He showed ronaldinho how to play soccer.

Haha, yeah, today's game was amazing.

The French just proved that a team of old-timers can take-down the "invincible Brazilians". I mean Zidane and Viera are what like 34-ish.

I just want to take the time...to cry. I'm so disappointed England lost again. AGAIN because of those darn penalty shots we can just never get it together for.

Another disappointing WC for my country. 3rd time now we have lost in the qtrfinals. If they had any chance to advance, it would have been this year in 06' with this specific team. But I guess things just had to catch up to England's mediocre play throughout the tournament.

Last words...long live the queen!

I'm just hoping France kicks the crap out of Portugal in the semi's.

I like David Beckham so I was sorry to see England go mainly on his behalf.

However, I also like Portugal. I've visited this country and so I kind of have personal experiences there. Plus, I have to give their goalkeeper props for what he pulled off today.

However, I do have one question hat actually has nothing to do with the World Cup. While I was in Europe, I got the feeling that Spain and Portugal (visited both countries) did not like each other at all. However, I may be wrong. Does anyone know what the story is?

England was cheated.

Brazil deserved to lose, honestly. And Zidane's performance was more than enough for France to merit a win.

If France doesn't beat Portugal on Wed, I'm gonna go psycho. But I'm almost positive they will.

Germany is gonna kick Italy's ass

france all the way!!! allez les bleus!!!

Brazil has a history of losing to France for some reason. 4 losses to 1 win or something like that. Something about the French strageties are always anti-Brazilian. Anyways, I believe Germany will win over France. It's in their own nation, and if you know most major world competitions, the host country's team for some reason gets invigorated to go beyond their original capabilities. Regardless, it's going to be an exciting game.
