World History AP Self-study help

Hi,

Since my school doesn't offer AP, I'm taking Pre-AP World History this year. So basically I just got 5 steps to a 5 and the Barron's books, which both seem really informative. If I review these books and maybe some other prep books (no textbooks), would I still be able to make a 5 on the AP test? Thanks.

yeah, I'm also from a west houston suburb and don't have ap world hist. princeton review helped some1 I know got a five.

thanks. did that someone take the class too though?

you mean pre ap wolrd hist yes.

Do you also already have a textbook?

i think you could probably get a five with those books and your pre ap class, but if you want to buy another book i would recommend pr. i also used five steps to a five last year and it was ok, nice charts at the end of each time period....i memorized those and they helped.

Unfortunately I don't have a textbook. Kids at my old school, which did offer AP World History, said that the book had too much info.

So I guess I'll just use 5 steps, PR and Barron's (I heard Kaplan isn't that good). Should that be enough? Like I said, I probably want to avoid using a textbook.

yeah, kaplan isnt very good. that should be enough. good luck.
