World History AP

Hi I would like to know what AP world history textbook you used. I want to self study. Also, I'd like to know what is the best test prep book for AP world history. Thanks.

We’re using the Pearson World Civilizations, AP* Edition.

I guess I’ll find out if it’s any good after I get my AP score back.

I got a 5 last May and I would absolutely recommend AP World History: An Essential Coursebook by Ethel Wood. Brilliantly written, I would have gotten a 4 if not for this book. If you can’t find it in stores, it’s well worth the investment to order online.

[Amazon.com: AP Achiever (Advanced Placement* Exam Preparation Guide) for AP World History (College Test Prep) (9780073292113): Dixie Grupe, Sigrid Reynolds: Books](http://www.amazon.com/Achiever-Advanced-Placement-Preparation-History/dp/0073292117)

It’s awesome. It’s specific to a certain book, but that doesn’t matter.

Is it too late to start self studying AP World History?

^Not if you already know a lot of the content and/or are willing to spend your free time reading the books from now until then.
