I am thinking about, rather going to take the World History Subject Test this December. Now I have no knowledge of World History currently. What review books should I use? I had no knowledge of US History a month before the test and used CrachCourse, DirectHits, and the AP review book and got a 790. What have you guys used/what should I use to aim for a perfect score? (I'm looking for a high-quality book. I bought AP World History review book by Barron's a while back, but not sure if I should use it or not.)

I think picking the right review books is crucial, so thanks in advance for any help.

Use ur barrons, I studied with it for a week and I got an 800. My friend studied with Princeton Review and got a 720 (i told her to study with barrons but she didn’t listen lol) The test is very detailed so just try get as much information in as possible. There is a big curve so it’s alright if you do not know some answers.

I also recommend Barron’s. I used Barron’s three nights prior to the test and managed to get a 790. However, be warned that Barron’s is long and tedious and it might seem like it’s just throwing out random facts at you. I studied from the AP Prep book though, so the SAT might be different.

Francesca, did you use the SAT Barron’s book or the AP one? So I should use the AP Barron’s book I currently have or should I also get the SAT one?

pentupenguin: when did you take it?

I took the World SAT’s this June, right after the World AP test. However, about 70% of what I know I learned from prep books/previous knowlege/we didn’t start the fire since my teacher was horrible. Didn’t even mention the Ottomans, Mongols, Caliphates, nor did he go over anything past the 18th century, just gave us the last week to read the chapters by ourselves during class…

i used the ap one, use that one bcuz the sat one is way too big and has mostly useless information

I am using both the ap review book and the sat book and i am taking it in December too. Good luck!
