Which of the following is NOT true of the Abbasid Dynasty?

A) It was destroyed by Mongol invasion.
B) It built its capital at Baghdad.
C) Merchants stirred economic innovation, with the inventions of credit, receipts, and bills.
D) They helped preserve Western history.
E) They were not tolerant of local customs of the areas they conquered in efforts of spreading their own culture.

To be honest, I had to look it up But at least now I know for the actual exam (it would suck to know something but not to know some vocab word they use).

Here’s another question:

Which of the following was NOT a factor in the Mongols’ powerful, swift, and steady invasions?

A) They were talented cavalrymen.
B) They were expert archers, being able to shoot extremely accurately on horseback.
C) They consistently had larger armies than those they conquered, with backup arriving whenever forces got low.
D) They had extremely organized armies and established tightly knit military units based on groups of ten.
E) They adopted advanced military technology and techniques from their neighbors, which helped them adapt and succeed in battle.

Well, the organizations were ‘founded’ after WWII. They didn’t really oppose each other, it was mainly US/USSR, but one could say that they were on opposite sides. NATO was the parliamentary democratic West while Warsaw Pact was the communist Eastern Soviet-influenced East. So, yeah =/.

Umm… During which dynasty did the mawali finally get accepted into the wider Arabic community?

It is. But the basics at least? I was thinking of a “Which one of these reasons did not lead to the French Revolution…” but couldn’t think of any answer choices.

I haven’t completely gotten around to studying this era yet. Here is what I know:

–It was an overthrow of the monarch (King Louis XVI?)
–It succeeded-- the king’s head went to the guillotine
–It had some religious background (protestant vs. catholic)

I’m taking the exam in June so I’ll join… :)

Louis asked for a Estates-General meeting, and then the National Assembly formed with the Tennis court oath and that was regarded as the start of the F Revolution…

What was the name of the radical group during the second revolution?
