World Language Requirements

Hi,

I'm a sophomore, and I took Spanish 1 last year. This year, I was taking Spanish 2, but 2 weeks into the school year, they decided I knew much for Spanish 2, and I am now in Pre AP Spanish 3. This brings me to my questions: Will it look weird on an application that I have gone from Spanish 1 to Spanish 3? Would it be against me to take AP Spanish next year, then in senior year take Latin or French 1? I would take Spanish 5, but it's a bit of a soft option, because it's more of a cultural class.

Thanks everyone

No, it won't hurt you at all.

that'll look better.

Thanks everyone! Now two more questions....

Would I have to include some sort of explanation for my switch into Spanish 3 from Spanish 1?

Is a possible language major more likely to gain admission to princeton than, say an engineering major?

No.

Not necessarily.
